The
Nature Coast Anglers Fishing Club is a non-profit
organization formed into a club on 2/17/01 by our first club president
Robert Buning, with several other anglers who wanted an organizational
membership of dedicated anglers with common goals and interests
in fishing the Nature Coast of Florida.
We
hold monthly meetings, special banquets, club trips, and of course, a
wide variety of fishing tournaments and outings. Monthly meetings
feature speakers ranging from boating safety, new fishing products,
what is catching what now, to fishing techniques such as rigging,
trolling, electronic aids and etc. We meet on the First
Thursday of every month, plus we have a monthly breakfast at
one of the local eateries on the THIRD SATURDAY of the month.
We
play an active roll in marine conservation. supporting the Coastal
Conservation Association of Florida, which successfully campaigned for
the passage of Florida's Net Ban Amendment, which eliminated the
highly destructive gill and entanglement nets from our state waters,
and who work continuously for the improvement of our fish stocks. NCA
members are very active participants in the annual Adopt -A- Shore
Coastal clean up , which is the national day to clean up our water
ways.
Our
mission is to further each members overall knowledge of fishing and
places to fish, through education and club activities, and to offer a
framework for members to develop, share and procure friendships with
other dedicated members who share the same interest.
